I do not really believe that the end is in sight, but what I believe is that the next larger context will fix the problem at hand and that indeed can mean that the inside comes to an end. To translate that into GLUE I use the concept of the GLUE Decks, where one Deck relies on the other Deck:

If something is dysfunctional in the inner element then the feedback flow through the outer element will fix it by either forcing the inner part to adapt or by eliminating the dysfunctional element. The circulatory system takes care of the solution, if not inside then via outside elements:
